An interesting exchange among some panel participants on how Illinois can create jobs.
Among the panel participants were [via the Illinois Review]:
International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150′s Chuck August, Patten Industries Garrett Patten, Caterpillar’s Human Resource director Christopher Glynn and former state senator Steve Rauschenberger.
Interestingly, at the 2:30 mark, IUOE’s August makes a statement about the political parties in Illinois that is quite revealing…

Thanks for sharing Illinois’ labor union challenges by posting this video. Since Illinois has project labor agreements, UIOE Local 150′s August said making sure all crews are union is the only way to have a level playing field. Also a revealing statement, especially since only 3 out 10 construction crews are union members. Thanks again for running the video!
