Facing Possible Steelworkers’ Strike, Oshkosh Company Holds Job Fair For Replacement Workers

OSHKOSH – Hoffmaster Corp. held a job fair Wednesday at City Center Hotel in Oshkosh.
The company is looking for temporary workers in preparation for a potential strike. Hoffmaster officials say a strike was authorized by Local 2-169 of the United Steelworkers, although it has not yet started.
“For me personally, if it means getting a paycheck each week, it needs to get done right now,” said Amber Sennett of Berlin who was at the job fair.
