Three Employees of Las Vegas Laborers Local Indicted

From the National Legal & Policy Center’s Union Corruption Update:

On April 28, Aundrea Valerio, Stacy Johnson and Aurora Rios, former office employees of Laborers International Union of North America Local 872, were indicted in U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada on charges of embezzling a combined roughly $225,000 in funds from the Las Vegas union and falsifying financial records. Valerio, Johnson and Rios, respectively, were charged with thefts of approximately $13,500, $45,500 and $167,500. The indictments follow a probe by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
