Political Football: On heels of NLRB ruling, pols jump into St. Barnabas fray

Barely a month has passed since the SEIU’s Craig Becker issued a decision through National Labor Relations Board to give the SEIU the ability to unionize interns and residents in hospitals, a decision which St. Barnabas hospital is rightfully appealing, but now Bronx politicians are bombing St. Barnabas on behalf of the SEIU.
Bronx pols blasted St. Barnabas Hospital Tuesday, urging it to hammer out an agreement with the facility’s newly unionized residents and interns.
St. Barnabas fired back that the labor dispute has become “political football.”
As St. Barnabas is a teaching hospital, perhaps a more apropos moniker would be F.U.
